Frozen Fountain
04:16

Yesterday's survivor
Tomorrow's ghost
I can feel it coming closer
The world we chose
The sky is clearing up now
The town comes alive
I see thunderclouds retreating
Above the coast
We’re tracing a collision course
Following what came before
Following what came before
Tonight I thought I saw you
In the back of the room
I thought I caught you looking for me
Looking for you
There are valleys wider
Than our voices can travel
There are echoes quieter
Than they’ll ever know
So come closer
We’re tracing our collision course
Following what came before
Following what came before Reaching
Heading for the source
Every shortcut
Each detour
Always led me to your door

Common Ground
04:47
|
|||
Then you said you would've been dead
Without that song
Turning up the volume
You stopped singing along
23, a cracked windshield
And the windows open
I was taking in the landscape
Making it my own
There's a future cure
For every possible future
I was innocent
And then I wasn't
An outcome meets its cause
There's no use in feeling misused
Who's keeping score?
All that window dressing
Drew the thieves to your door
Waking up from turbulence
In a thunderstorm
The first thing I remembered
Was your house disappearing In the rear-view mirror
They're handing out umbrellas
In the afternoon sun
It's the year of the elections
Coming to a conclusion
The Northern Atlantic
Is on my mind
If you feel hollow
There's a harbour up the coast
Where the waves will flood your soul
There's a future cure
For every possible future
I was innocent
And then I wasn't
An outcome meets its cause
So I grew tired
Of waiting around
For the siege to blow over I heard the loudest cries
From the ivory towers
Harmonising in choir
We blew a tire
And missed our flight
Found our way down to common ground
From E4 South
To the 101
Life's a constant arrival

Missing Things
03:56
|
|||
So I rolled the dice
Not anticipating to feel different
Once again
I dove right in
I’ve felt this way before
I’ve been distant
Nowhere
Now here
Nowhere
Now here
I miss missing things
I miss missing things
I miss missing things
We’ve been walking in a circle
Now we’re back at square one
We’ve been keeping it together
It’s been keeping us down
So if something’s missing
I miss missing things
Sunlight on the scars
Shadows on the lawn
I remember
Breathing in
Facing the wind
When the storm arrived
It felt scheduled
Nowhere
Now here
Nowhere
Now here
I miss missing things
I miss missing things
I miss missing things
We’ve been walking in a circle
Now we’re back at square one
We’ve been keeping it together
It’s been keeping us down
So if something’s missing
I miss missing things
And every answer you would give
Could be interpreted two ways
So when the pendulum swung
I just moved over and moved on
Forgive me
We’ve been walking in a circle
I’m at the end of the line
I am holding on to nothing
Nothing’s holding me down
So if something’s missing
I miss missing things

Necessity Says
03:53
|
|||
A window opened wide
Warm electric light
Pouring out into the night
A buzzing fridge inside
The stereo playing Low
Elated voices intertwined
I'm surrounded by the sound of life
A perfect piece of the whole
Another day to make the world go around
A perfect piece of the whole
Another day
In your life
Won't you stay?
Necessity calls
Won't you stay?
Necessity calls
I remember when
Always meant always
And never always meant sometimes
Illuminated clouds
Cover our whole town
High over the trams
And the canal
I'm surrounded by the sound of life
A perfect piece of the whole
Another day to make the world go around
A perfect piece of the whole
Another day
In your life
See it for yourself
Reflections
Pieces of the whole
Another day
Another life
See it for yourself
Reflections
Pieces of the whole
Another day alive
Won't you stay?
Necessity calls
Won't you stay?
Necessity calls
Come away
Necessity says
Come away
Necessity says

Escape Velocity
05:02
|
|||
The last thing you said
Was see you around
I haven't done a lot
Since you left town
I've been taking walks at dawn
With my headphones on
Under the trees
At the edge of the park
Honesty, corruption and the truth
Walked into a bar to shoot some pool
But then they shot
The drunk bartender too
What was I supposed to do?
We wait
For some final sign
A quick fix
To cover up
That there are white whales
Chasing after us
Strange games
I thought we’d had enough
Now it's been far too long
To not look back
Here I am
Still trying to ignite the ashes
Everything here makes me think of you
You said even the dead-end streets
Are going to bloom
And let us through
We got played by their rules
Kept in place by fear
I guess time wasn't always right
But I was right here
Are we out of the woods?
Are we in the clear?
Because if you told me we'll be alright
I think I still could believe it
We wait
For some final sign
A quick fix
To cover up
That there are white whales
Chasing after us
Strange games
I thought we’d had enough
I lost it
I lost it
I had it
I lost it
Velocity

Exceptions
05:59
|
|||
Come on in
It's open
Are you hearing this?
Winter rain drumming on the cars outside
High heels echoing
Key rings jangling
In this cold apartment
Each sound is so loud
But if you want to stay
I'm feeling the same way
And if I contradict myself
It's all fine
Cause I'm prone to make exceptions
When it comes to me and you
Full disclosure
It's the path of least resistance
I never knew what else to do
Like a dog missing his collar
I'd come running when you called
Through parking lots
Shopping malls
And those generic cafes
There were no other distractions
Interesting enough to focus on
It's hard to tell where the future ends
And the cave painting starts
The cave became a tunnel
And the tunnel slithered underground
The morning of the bomb threat
They closed off the heart of town
An evacuated temple
A depopulated paradise
The statue of the city founder
Sword drawn in the fog
I am prone to make exceptions
When it comes to me and you
Full disclosure
It's the path of least resistance
I never knew what else to do
To get through
To you

Nowanights
05:31
|
|||
What a lovely day
The sky is grey
There's a feeling I can't place
They're putting out chairs
Outside the cafes
Looks like the end of hibernation
What a lovely day
April rain
Colouring the pavement wet
And for once I could stay
I've got time to waste
I could stay
But I'm restless
Nowanights I fall awake
And all of the signs are plain as day
All that magical thinking
Didn't really
Do the trick
I know
I know
I'm sorry
What a lovely day
The X-ray
Is showing nothing new
I went out of my way
To explain it
Burned the map
To hide the trail
I saw you answer the phone
Hungover and stoned
You ran out the door
In blinding light
Even the sun looked strange
That whole day
The clouds were all shaped like islands
I guess the tides inside us changed
A little too late
But it's safe to say
We're no longer going through a phase
I believe you
It's cool
I know
I know
I'm sorry too
Nowanights I fall awake
And all of the signs are plain as day
We're no longer going through a phase
I believe you
It’s cool
I know
I know
I'm sorry too

Private Eye
03:43
|
|||
I took pictures
At the wedding
And I fell into the pond If
I drown I'll be forgiven
I was thinking as I sunk
But didn't I act like it rained?
Who did I try to persuade?
No need to kick in open doors
There's a reason
There's a riddle to be solved
It changed us
It changed us into us
It started out a grain of sand
But somehow it snowballed
I guess anything is relative
Until it's not at all
I never found a way to trace the breadcrumbs to their source
I finally appreciate
The freedom that it cost us
Who wouldn't have loved to remain
A perfectly planned out mistake
Time wasn't enough to tip the scales
But I really think it added to the weight
I could see the end beginning to take shape
It changed us
It changed us into us
We’re practicing acceptance
Sweeping wars under the rug
From opinion to the sentence
From the sentence
To the true crime judge
A suspended drunk policeman
Sitting fingering his gun
In the backseat of the dealer’s
You were right behind my eyes
I just tried to make it right
But even if I could explain
What else would there be left to say?
It was all there in the cards
And though the decks were stacked
The game rigged from the start
I just couldn't keep my head and heart apart
And I couldn't face myself
In that bathroom mirror haze
Looking for something misplaced
I walked out that open door
And it changed us
It changed us into us

December Stars
04:50
|
|||
It's a simple choice
Either come to terms with it or don't
The silver lining
Wasn't more than an afterthought
At that empty crossing
We lingered by a walk sign
Now I can't hide from the feelings
I hide inside
December nights
In a town left behind
Whenever you decide
I'll stick around
Tearing down our house of cards
Cleaning out our archive of doubts
If this amounts to nothing
Nothing at all
Then nothing’s all I want
The prophecy's wrong
Call your fortune teller
And tell her I'm done
The cold hard future
We foresaw up ahead
Is crashing down
For the record
I've always tried to be sincere
I don't know why
It was so much more difficult
When you were still here
December nights
In a town left behind
Whenever you decide
I’ll stick around
Tearing down our house of cards
Cleaning out our archive of doubts
If this amounts to nothing
Nothing at all
Then nothing's all I want
There's a fault line drawn
Far between us
There's a wall of fog
Drifting apart
Reappear disappear
Disappear reappear
Reappear disappear
Keep going
Keep going
Reappear disappear
Disappear reappear
Reappear disappear
Keep going
Keep going now
Keep on
December nights
In a town left behind
Whenever you decide
I’ll stick around
December stars
Will be shining up above
I’m tearing down our house of cards
I'm cleaning out our archive of doubts
If this amounts to nothing
Then it’s all I want

Sunlight Fall Down
03:30
|
|||
Migrating songbirds
Cross the open sky
Mirrored in the ocean
The sun has begun to rise
Fallen horizons
Rising at dawn
I should've gone to sleep
There's a lot I should've done
A long way from the boy who
Grew up in hand-me-downs
So focused on survival
That life doesn't feel alive
I just can't remember
Or forget it quite enough
Lately it's the good times
Making me feel worse
I've never been this certain
There's nothing in my heart
Still left to let go of
This is all I've got
So if there's a price to pay
I'll pay it
I promise
And when tomorrow comes
I'll be all yours
So let sunlight fall down
And climb up the lawn
When tomorrow comes
I'll be all yours
Tomorrow
I'll be all yours
